PixiWeb Takes On Live Events with Guest-Powered Photo Galleries

If you've been keeping up with our recent posts you know that we've been working hard to help illustrate exactly how valuable PixiWeb can be in the live event space. Some of our previous posts have focused on why virtual photo booths are a great fit for live events, provide an additional layer of safety as well as how to go about implementing them in the live event spac through a live slideshowHint, hint: QR codes and a mobile-first experience are key!

And while those posts have been helpful to get the initial juices flowing and in helping our clients see the variety of ways that they can use PixiWeb in their events, it stands to reason that getting specific now and again is a good thing. PixiWeb can be a stand-alone photo booth app that your guests can access on their phones, or it can also be used in conjunction with your actual wedding photo booth setup.

Let’s take a look at how PixiWeb clients Bryanna and Quinton utilized our tech…

So with that said, today we're going to focus on the slam dunk success our clients Bryanna and Quinton had when they made the decision to add PixiWeb Virtual Photo Booth experience to their wedding festivities.

When it comes to the types of ideas and content you can upload to your PixiWeb photo gallery at your wedding, the options are limitless. We've written before about how valuable it can be to empower all of your wedding guests to be your freelance photographers — PixiWeb makes that effort easy to accomplish.

Below we’re going to highlight a handful of different types of photos you can look forward to capturing at your wedding when you add PixiWeb to the mix.

Pre-Wedding “Get Excited” Photos

Bryanna & Quinton chose to have their PixiWeb event live for 7-days to allow their friends and families the opportunity to share photos in the week leading up to their big day and that was clearly the right call because they ended up with lots of wonderful photos the guests shared of their memories with Bryanna & Quinton.

Seeing guests share their own photos and memories mixed with details in preparation for the wedding is a wonderful way to see and spread the joy of such a momentous occasion. The week (weeks if we’re being honest) is filled with a million different important moments and memories. By adding PIxiWeb, you provide a single place where people can capture and share those memories.

Friends & Family Photos

Needless to say, weddings are a place where people are extremely happy to see one another and countless photos ensue. Whether it’s selfies with your favorite Aunts, Father-Daughter pics, or photos with your best friends, everyone has their phone in their hand and is snapping away so why not give them a place to share them?

Custom Wedding Backdrop Photo Opportunity

There are a ton of DIY ideas out there for creating fun photo booth backdrops for your wedding! Set one up to create a photo booth area and let your guests go wild. Use one of our PixiWeb QR Code Templates to create a sign so everyone can easily access PixiWeb when they’re taking photo booth photos and upload them to share.

Bryanna & Quinton chose to create a beautiful ivy photo wall and adorn it with their name and flowers affixed to it, but you could also add a neon sign, a banner, or anything else you might come up with.

Additionally, creating a photo moment with marquee letters is becoming more and more common at weddings; PixiWeb is a great way to capture all of those photos too. Bryanna & Quinton’s “B&Q” letters were a cool addition to an already amazing event and you can tell by how much the guests engaged with them.

Pictures of the Details, Decor, and Venue

You’ve put in a lot of work to make your event look and feel perfect and when you add a shared photo gallery tool like PixiWeb, you’ll find that your guests will share a ton of photos that show just that.

From the chairs & linens to the table settings and flower arrangements, these are the details that will remain fun to pour over for years to come. Maybe you have a formal photographer for your wedding and you’ll get to see all of these details in the long run and if so that’s great but usually it takes some time for your photographer to edit and post-produce the images before you get to see them. PixiWeb is awesome because it allows you a chance to relive the night right away.

In the event that you’ve decided to forgo a professional photographer at your wedding then PixiWeb will make it extremely easy to capture as many memories from all your “junior photographers.”

Father of the Bride Selfies

Dewey, this one is for you:) A daughter getting married, or any child for that matter is an extremely proud moment in any parent’s life. Bryanna’s dad Dewey was no exception! The photos exude joy plain and simple. The magic of PixiWeb as a shared photo gallery is truly the variety of photos you capture; the fun moments that probably wouldn’t have come to light otherwise can end up being some of your most cherished.

Behind-the-Scenes Bridal Party Photos

Your Bridal Party is composed of some of the most important people in your life and leading up to the ceremony you’re going to be spending a lot of time together. PixiWeb is a perfect way to capture all of those intimate moments between you and your bridesmaids & groomsmen.

Whether you're planning to spend the morning of your wedding day on a hike, getting a massage, doing yoga, or having a cigar, those are important memories and ones that you’ll appreciate the opportunity to relive. Not to mention all of the photos of the bridal party getting hair, makeup, suits, and dresses just right.

Rehearsal Dinner Photos

Most weddings aren’t single-day events but instead can start as early as a week prior. In many cases, a wedding will have a rehearsal dinner the day before to give all wedding participants a chance to walk through the ceremony, and then the wedding party will have dinner afterward. PixiWeb provides you with a place to collect all of those pre-event photos together.

Pro-tip: Don’t just use your PixiWeb site for pre-event photos; plan to include it in your morning-after brunch to capture memories there too. From the mimosas to the newly married couple photos, you’ll be glad you did.

Pictures of the Flower Girls & Ring Bearers

These candid photos of the flower girls are a great memory that was captured in their PixiWeb gallery.

Memories of little nieces and nephews and the role they played in your wedding are other great examples of why it’s so important to provide a centralized space for everyone to share their photos.

Guest-Perspective Ceremony Pictures

Variety is the spice of life, so why not make sure you get your hands on as many different perspectives of your ceremony as you can.

You never know which attendee will end up having the best angle at the best moment. Your favorite wedding photo could end up coming from a perspective or person you never would have anticipated. Now, aren’t you glad you didn’t miss it?

Obviously, this day was about you, Bryanna & Quinton and your PixiWeb gallery is proof. You're the center of attention and everyone is going to want to take photos of you and with you so making sure there’s an easy way to capture all of those photos is a great idea.

Similar to what we said above, you never know who or when you’re going to get the perfect photo of yourself and your new spouse; by adding PixiWeb you greatly increase your chances.

“Just Married” Send-Off Photos

bryanna-quinton-photo+(14)+(1).jpeg

Many weddings end in an elaborate send-off, Bryanna & Quinton’s Wedding did not disappoint. Their vehicle, decorated with a garland of white roses and a banner that read “Just Married” was a photo moment in and of itself.

The above are just a few examples of the types of photos you’ll find in your PixiWeb gallery when you add it to your wedding or event. No doubt, there are customs, details, and features that will be unique to your wedding that your guests will be empowered to help you remember.

PixiWeb Q&A with the Bride

Q: Why PixiWeb?

Bryanna: We are big supporters of family owned business. As Quinton and I looked for wedding vendors, we wanted to make sure we stayed true to that value. When my family came across PixiWeb, we believed the team would be the perfect fit for our event. From the service and communication to design, everything was done in excellence.

Q: What was your favorite part?

Bryanna: We enjoyed going back through the photos days after our wedding! The team kept our gallery URL live and sent them over to us so we could see all the photos our family and friends added. Such great memories!

3. Anything else you'd like to share with us?

Bryanna: Thank you to the team for the help and guidance. So happy we found you.

10/10 would recommend!
